AIHSC Head Nurse Receives Public Health Champion Award

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) observed Native American Heritage Month by honoring Native Americans who have dedicated their lives to public health. Every May, IDPH takes the opportunity to celebrate the rich heritages and histories of this indigenous community by acknowledging the contributions the Native American community has made to our Nation’s progress.

IDPH recognized Danielle Bellinger of AIHSC with the Public Health Champion award on November 30th. The Public Health Champion award reflects the purpose of Native American Heritage Month, and honors remarkable individuals, celebrates their achievements, and recognizes their commitment to improving the health of Illinoisans.
