Cherokee Language Class

CPS American Indian Education Program and St. Kateri Center of Chicago is proud to sponsor our second Cherokee Language Class. This class is open to the public and free of charge to all attendees. All materials will be provided. Families are welcome!

Instructor, Patrick Del Percio, is of Cherokee, Italian, and Irish descent living on the occupied, ancestral lands of the Illinois Confederacy, Miami, Kickapoo, and Potawatomi peoples. He currently serves as the program coordinator for the D’Arcy McNickle Center for American Indian and Indigenous Studies at the Newberry Library. He also serves as a contract translator for the Cherokee Nation Language Program as well as a Cherokee language instructor at Northwestern University.
