2nd Native American Inclusive History Symposium

Topic: Building on the successful passage of HB1633 in Illinois in 2023, the release of ISBE’s Native American and Indigenous Resource Guide, and a shared goal to effectively implement the law, this gathering will focus on identifying what educators need and creating tools and resources to help our Native community support those needs. By promoting the use of Native voices as primary sources, we aim to ensure that classroom materials reflect our perspectives and experiences. Whether you work in a Tribal education office, are a parent, educator, community member, or part of an organization, we all have a role to play. Together, we’ll define next steps and keep the momentum going for this vital work.
