Native Script! Monthly Zoom Bookclub

In partnership with the American Indian Center of Chicago, we are excited to announce Native Script! a new Native authored book club for adults. Native Script! is a book club designed to prompt equity within adult literature. Through the promotion of Native Authored books, we aim to showcase the significance of literary expression in the promotion of socio-political, creative, and intellectual efforts of Native peoples today.
Native Script! creates space that challenges settler-colonial policies and practices that have worked to silence, oppress, and erase Native voices from mainstream American Literature. Most importantly this online book club promotes building community conversations that challenge its readers to critically reflect on the diversity and commonalities of Native experiences within literature, history, and politics through the power of storytelling.
