The Menominee Community Center of Chicago is a community center recognized within the Menominee Nation’s government (MTL)and organized to collectively coordinate and support tribal kinship through social network, knowledge-sharing and cultural enrichment promoting engagement of Tribal communities and families with native Menominee homelands. An Honoring Nations awardee, Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government said the Menominee Community Center of Chicago, “is a unique partnership between an urban Indian center and a tribal government” serving citizens living in the Greater Chicago area.
